Chris Cantell Discusses World News: The number of tolls from Monday quake is increasing
by Lenka Filipova

Just after the quake in China, the government started to accumulate the help of whatever kind. It welcomes the public help emerging from common equipments like cranes or hammer to accepting the international support or missions. The very first help was provided by the team of the Japanese. Millions of people lost their homes and all properties. They have nothing in their hands and what is more, there is no place they can spend nights in. Till this time no signs of disease have been reported by the health officials. What makes the rescue so difficult and in some parts even impossible, is the jeopardy of the destroyed infra-communication, wracks of buildings, and another debris haltering the path to people who are still captured within the hills. A nurse, Zhao Xiaoli, said there was no way to bring them down as it was too dangerous. However, the pits are continuously being prepared for them to provide tolls the decent place for their “rest”.In addition to this, there were severe concerns whether the Zipingpu dam had not been destroyed too. Fortunately, the threads have diminished and the dam can be used as a reservoir source. And just beside it, the soldier built a kind of staging area to help as many people as possible. By this time the emergency headquarters of the State Council, China's Cabinet, has claimed 19,509 casualties. The number of death is however expected to increase, probably even to 50,000, as there is only minimum, if any, chance to survive without water for more than three days. But miracles are sometimes happening. So let's hope that in this havoc there will more of them than ever!
