Rising Death Tolls After Earthquake in China.

Death tolls after the recent earthquake in China are hitting terrible records.More than 26,000 people still burried in the wrecks of buidlings and 15,000 death, these are only slightly shots from hour to hour updating estimations. Monday's quake broke 7,9 magnitude level in Si chuan province, causing one of the most horrible scenarios.Moreover, two days of heavy rain restrained the aid to the most affected Mao sien area.Bloody news reported tragedy of only 2,300 survivors in the town of about 10,000, places where none of the buildings have remained in a circle of 20 km.Tens of thousands homeless people waiting in the lines along the roadsides struggled two nights without any medical, water either food supplies. Due the clearing weather, first aid teams have reached the affected areas only on Wednesday.Landslides, crashing down everything in the way, destroyed the road system and some key water power stations in the locality. Also the main dams have been violated. According Chinese government, more than 400 water reservoirs are wholly destroyed. The fact, that hundreds of rivers fall from Tibetan plateau feed fertile Si chuan land only worsen the situation.Lack of heavy equipment caused that currently more than 20,000 soldiers and policemen are grabbing people with their own hands. "I'm numb," whispered Zhao Xiaoli, a 25-year-old nurse working at a makeshift lazaret center in tire factory driveway. "The first day, hundreds of kids died when a school collapsed. The rest who came in had serious injuries. There was so little we could do for them."To prove that the Communist government turns out with its people, Premier Wen Jiabao arrived to the worst damaged areas. State TV has prominently focused on the quake, recovering its normal program by 24 hour coverage. Indeed, Wen in action remains the main motive of the broadcasting.However, one minute of silence over the victims took place in Olympic torch relay, currently passing eastern Fujian whilst the victims are calling for international donnations.
