U.S. Missionaries freed from illegal transfer of Haitian Children by Milota Sidorova

It seems Haiti disturbed the water of international society. After the catastrophic disaster, the avalanche of news, projects and support started. News reported that the major part of the infrastructure was destroyed, such as presidential and governmental buildings. To be more precise, the country “stepped back about one century”. More than million people were left homeless and displaced into immigrants' camps. The local media were undertaken by opposition party blaming the country's officials for chaos. Yes, the country fell into chaos. And while Americans and French, countries that helped to establish a dictatorship on Haiti for more than 60 years, while Ameri! cans and French wasted time accusing each other of eating someone else's cake, the chaos and pain flooded once streets of Haitian cities and villages.One can be sure, the most difficult task in such conditions is to establish peace and order. Yes, we are talking about smuggling with children. I remember the interview of Haitian president with American reporter as he openly said there were so many dirty things going on with selling the children. The seasoned journalist couldn't hide the shock for a few seconds. Well, if president speaks out loudly about violations and children smuggling, how can be the reality?The international associations extended the help with a possibility to adopt Haiti child. News also reported the conditions for such case have been increased. International society was worried it could be accused from helping illegal children transfer. But still, there have been some cases. On January 19th 10 Americans have been arrested while trying to bus more than 3! 0 children from the island. Most of them had living parents, b! ut no pa pers for exit. The whole group was arrested, but released last days. Laura Silsby and Charisa Coulter, the leader and her assistant argued they didn't do anything wrong, they just wanted to help. Now they have been discharged by American court as well.Their case remains a fiasco. Even if one wouldn't doubt their altruistic support, one would also doubt about the intelligence of this group. If they would be so fair, they would apply for a permission to take the children away. But they didn't. So it's up to us to think it out.Oh yes, some critics suggested that it was media misunderstanding.And while one keeps focused on so called volunteers, there is something worse going in the background.
