U.S. interfering inner policy of Israel and Palestine. Not as a mediator, but a businessman.
by Milota Sidorova
As for the “embarrassment and direct insult” blown by Israel to the face of U.S. diplomacy I have heard one perfect commentary “as proud American it was refreshing to see the tail was not wagging the dog for a change in this relationship”. Although one should avoid from extreme and early opinions this comment only honestly depicted the image of whole Israeli, Palestine and U.S. lover, business triangle. They seem to be pretty furious about it. Hillary Clinton even dressed down the phone call to Israeli Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu, calling it a real insult to U.S. “peace talk efforts” and Palestinians. Just few days before, U.S. vice-p! resident Joe Biden said U.S. didn't have such friend as Israeli. Israeli surprised Biden and all U.S. foreign policy by allowing more than 112 settlement in East Jerusalem, the area, internationally considered as “occupied zone”. According international law extending the settlement on such place is illegal. From Israel it was certainly a provocation for Palestinians who claim East Jerusalem to be a capital city of their future state. Israel also showed its freewill to the U.S. who may be an ally and may be not.The whole world see those two countries being primarily business partners (and nuclear partners as well) and this fact is undermining the position of U.S. in “so called peace talks”.I have heard tough American patriots it was the time to let Israel to be on its own and the time to take care of more important issues back home. American government is spending millions and millions each year for Israeli mission without one relevant explanation. How! can it claim to be a mediator to its satellite, “friend! ” and ally with the other hot bloodied nation? What gave it the right to interfere inner policy of Israel and Palestine? Especially when Israel may not be listening to his Big Brother. We can't speak of democracy nor good will. Oh, yes. There is a thing. Money and ignorance to the rest of the world. Finishing my blog I have remembered the words of Gandhi before Britain totally dropped India as its colony. When British officers told him India was about to face split in two states, bloody riots between Hindu and Muslims he answered. “I know there will be many problems we will have to face. But they will be ours. Ours.”
