Politicians are gifted people who can use words like skilled magicians. Nations have been charmed by the likes of Abe Lincoln, J.F. Kennedy, Tony Blair, Margaret Thatcher, and many others. Sometimes however, the voice of leaders subduing nations have led to genocide as Hitler managed to gather around him followers who forgot about decency, morality, and supported him in his plans. On the other hand, communities have gained freedom through the instigating voice of leaders: Che Guevara, Martin Luther King, Pancho Villa or Nelson Mandela. Nowadays, leaders have used their charm to seduce the voters, but ! few have been worthy enough to remain in history. Among the most cunning leaders, there are the Chinese President and the Senegalese President who manage to avoid conflict while helping their countries. President Abdoulaye Wade had made the brightest move in Senegal’s history in an attempt to drive away the French army and regain independence, freedom. France expanded during the colonial period onto the Senegalese mainland and even after Senegal gained freedom, French militaries remained in the country, stationed around Dakar, at a French base. There were talks among the two countries for the militaries to be withdrawn, but they did not come to an agreement when Wade made public at the 50th anniversary of Senegalese independence that there will be no more a French military base in Senegal. As the situation imposed, the French President confirmed almost two months later that 900 militaries will be called back home and only 300 ! will remain in Senegal to help the government maintain peace. !
